Let YOUR voice be heard!

Hello Mustangs!

Guess what? Want to be apart of yearbook by putting YOUR input and voice to be heard through the mass of all the students, teachers, and administration? Well, now's your chance! The links below are the surveys and polls that the Yearbook team would love to hear YOUR feedback on. Whether its about how you spend your spare time or if you would want to be a pilgrim at the first Thanksgiving, your voice will be heard and added to the vote! And the best part is, your votes will be published in the yearbook for your friends and yourself to share, compare, and enjoy the results of the majority from your fellow classmates, teachers, and administration!

Click each link below to take the survey and be apart of something that will make everyone understand just what each of our opinions truly are!

Student Surveys: (note that each one takes less than 5 minutes!)

Teachers and Staff: (note that it only takes less than 5 minutes!)

*remember to purchase your yearbook today to see the results! And keep a lookout for our next blog on "Quotes"! Your personal voice and name could be seen on the pages. Stay tuned to find out how, soon! :)

Portrait Photo Guidelines

Hello Mustangs!

Here is your update as far as how and what to do to send our TXVA yearbook staff's YOUR awesome portrait picture! Our goal is to achieve a unifying appearance of all pictures within the yearbook. Please follow the guidelines below:

1) Student must be centered in the photo facing the camera, both eyes visible.

2) Pose must be a waist-up shot.  No full body shots. No hands near face—arms and hands should not be above the waist.  No knees blocking the body.
•Student must be sitting or standing.  No photos of students laying on the ground, sitting on the ground, etc.

3) Senior clothing and jewelry must fit school dress code guidelines and be “school appropriate”.

4) No props (animals, hats, sunglasses, cars, sports equipment, musical instruments or additional people in the photo).  No weapons.

5) Backgrounds (trees, rocks, columns, etc.) should not block the view of the student.

6) Background must be simple and uncluttered.  Blank color background (against a blank wall for instance) is preferred.

7) No texture, name stamping, embossing, or date stamp.

8) Photo must be vertical.  No horizontal photos.

9) Submit photo in digital format.  All photos must print at 300 dpi in resolution and saved as a JPG file.  Photos files must be named  with student’s first AND last name and grade level.

**IMPORTANT!: You MUST ‘tag’ your photo as “Portrait” that you want us to use for the portrait section. If you don’t tag it, we won’t know that is the one you want us to use.**

If you have any questions regarding the guidelines, please kmail Ms.Fyffe! We are doing our best with what we have and we appreciate all those who have followed the guidelines so far! Keep up the good work! =)
